Mr. Riley joined Grandbridge’ Real Estate Capital's Minneapolis office under the Collateral Real Estate Capital banner in January, 2006. He is responsible for commercial loan origination and has more than 30 years of experience in all types of financing, having closed loans with many CMBS lenders and insurance company investors around the country.

Prior to joining Collateral, Mr. Riley was owner and served as president of Riley Financial Corporation. Before owning his own mortgage banking business, he served as president of Northco Capital, Minneapolis and as a senior vice president with both Eberhardt Company and Dougherty and Company, Minneapolis. He also previously served as a vice president with NorthMarq. He began his commercial real estate career in 1970 as an attorney with the Minnesota Area Office of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

Mr. Riley earned B.A., M.A., and J.D. degrees from the University of Iowa. His professional memberships include the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP), Minnesota Shopping Center Association(MSCA), Minnesota Mortgage Bankers Association, Mortgage Bankers of America (MBA) and (previously) the Minnesota State Bar Association.
