Vice President Joseph Roper joined Laureate Capital in May, 2007 and has more than 20years of experience in all facets of mortgage banking. Prior to joining Laureate he was a Vice President/Senior Portfolio Manager at Bank of America, where he managed a commercial loan portfolio in excess of $7 billion. He has also managed a private equity commercial real estate portfolio that consistently produced annual returns in excess of 20 percent. He was the Chief Operating Officer of North Carolina Mortgage Corporation, and has also managed a residential mortgage portfolio for a $10 billion credit union. Mr. Roper has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of North Carolina.
