Michael J. Lee joined Grandbridge Real Estate Capital under the Collateral Real Estate Capital banner in 2003. Prior to joining the company Mr. Lee was with L.J. Melody & Company, Houston, Texas, and Eberhardt Company, Minneapolis, Minn. from 1995 to 2003.

In December 2003, he opened the Madison office of Collateral to more effectively serve the Madison and Fox River Valley markets. During his career, Mr. Lee has jointly and individually closed over $500 million dollars in loan volume. Mr. Lee has extensive knowledge in the origination, structuring, placement, and closing of a variety of product types including office, industrial, retail, hotel, conventional apartments, affordable housing, and seniors housing. Capital structures closed include permanent financing (both immediate and forward commitments), bridge and mezzanine financing, and equity placement.

Born and raised in Madison, WI, Mr. Lee earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a concentration in real estate and urban land economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1994. He is a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA), the Wisconsin Real Estate Alumni Association (WREAA), and an affiliate member of the Commercial Association of Realtors. Mr. Lee holds a Wisconsin loan originator’s license.
