One of the company's senior producers, Mr. Wernick manages the Dallas, Texas, production office of Grandbridge Real Estate Capital. Prior to joining Grandbridge in 2009, Mr. Wernick served as President of Quantum First Capital, a Dallas, Texas-based real estate finance and advisory firm he founded in 1998. With more than 20 years of mortgage banking experience, Mr. Wernick has personally originated and participated in closing over $6 billion real estate financings nationwide. He has been recognized by the North Texas Association of Commercial Realtors and the Dallas Business Journal as the Top Investment Banker in the D/FW area several times.

Within his second year of establishing Quantum, Mr. Wernick originated and closed a $630 million financing for the privatization of Walden Residential Properties, Inc. At that time, this transaction represented the largest multifamily REIT privatization ever completed, as well as Fannie Mae's largest single funding transaction. Prior to forming Quantum First Capital, he directed and managed the Dallas/Ft. Worth operations of the real estate investment banking division for Chase Bank of Texas where he was responsible for building a fee-based business through the origination of conventional debt/equity, securitization, REIT, sale/leaseback and mezzanine transactions.

Mr. Wernick's loan production experience began in the late 1980s where he served as a vice president for Wallenstein/Grubb & Ellis, a regional real estate investment banking firm. Later in the early 1990s, he joined L.J. Melody and Company. Mr. Wernick was a top producer with both firms.

Mr. Wernick is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, where he received a degree in accounting. He was the president of the Texas Relays and an officer of various fraternal and student organizations at the university. Currently, Mr. Wernick is an officer of the Commercial Division of the Dallas Mortgage Bankers Association, a member of the Texas Real Estate Council, Mortgage Bankers Association, International Council of Shopping Centers, NACORE and ULI, as well as a licensed real estate broker in Texas.
