• 1933 Collateral Investment Company formed
   
• 1985 New South Federal Savings Bank formed as subsidiary of Collateral Investment Company
   
• 1986 Collateral Investment Company reorganized and Collateral Mortgage, Ltd. formed (04/86)
   
• 1990 Collateral Mortgage, Ltd., began originating commercial loans for third investors and New South Federal Savings Bank
   
• 2001 2001 Collateral Mortgage, Ltd., formed subsidiary Collateral Mortgage Capital, LLC (CMC) (04/01)

CMC purchased Charter American Mortgage Company, including its $826 million loan servicing portfolio (05/01)
   
• 2005 CMC purchased CareyKramer Corporation – South Florida, including its $877 million loan servicing portfolio (01/05)
   
• 2006 CMC changed its name to Collateral Real Estate Capital, LLC (07/06)

• 1994 Laureate Realty Services Inc. formed and acquired R.B. Cullen and Associates (11/94)
   
• 1995 Laureate Realty Services Inc. acquired Mortgage Company of Indiana, including its $503 million loan servicing portfolio (07/95)
   
• 1996 Laureate Realty Services Inc. acquired Camp and Company, including its $525 million loan servicing portfolio (06/96)
   
• 1999 Laureate Realty Services Inc. acquired Lane, Noland, Smith & Company, Inc., including its $477 million loan servicing portfolio (04/99)

Laureate Realty Services Inc. changed its name to Laureate Capital LLC
   
• 2000 BB&T Corporation (NYSE: BB&T) acquired Laureate Capital LLC
   
• 2001 Laureate Capital LLC acquired Horizon Investment, including its $497 million loan servicing portfolio (11/01)
   
• 2004 Laureate Capital LLC acquired R.J. Twitty & Company, including its $302 million loan servicing portfolio (04/05)
   
• 2005 Laureate Capital LLC acquired Wilson & Nolan, including its $254 million loan servicing portfolio (10/05)
• 2007 Collateral Real Estate Capital, LLC, was acquired by BB&T and merged with the bank's subsidiary, Laureate Capital LLC, forming Grandbridge Real Estate Capital LLC (11/07)
• 2008 Grandbridge Real Estate Capital LLC acquired Houston-based commercial mortgage banking firm Live Oak Capital Ltd.  Founded in 2000, the privately-owned company specialized in debt and equity placement and loan servicing for the commercial real estate industry. (12/08 )
• 2009 Grandbridge Real Estate Capital LLC acquired Louisville, Kentucky-based commercial mortgage banking firm BFG Realty Advisors. The acquisition included a loan servicing portfolio of approximately $400 million. (9/09)
  Grandbridge Real Estate Capital LLC continued its geographic expansion into the attractive Texas market with the acquisition of Dallas,Texas-based commercial mortgage banking firm Quantum First Capital. (9/09)
